Website publishers using AdSense.Published 2026-10-26 · last activity 2026-10-26

AdSense publishers cannot reliably block recurring scam ads hosted on rotating subdomains

Context
The issue occurs when scam ads are served from changing subdomains on hosting platforms; publishers report that advertisers return with new accounts or subdomains after bans.
Current workaround
One publisher stopped using AdSense after being unable to stop the ads. The sources do not describe a reliable blocking workaround.
What it costs
Visitors to publishers’ sites are shown deceptive scam or phishing ads, including messages falsely claiming that a device is infected or that the visitor owes money.
What would count as better
A publisher can block a scam advertiser or its hosting domain so that the same scam ads do not return through new subdomains or accounts.

What already exists

Existing products outside the platform that solve the problem fully or in part. A place on this list cannot be bought: the order comes only from verdicts of people who have the problem. The problem stays open either way.
